Peter
Morris is fast becoming an icon with the plays that he has written
and we are privileged to get the World Premier of Guardians at
this years Fringe.
This
provocative piece is told in turn by a tabloid journalist, who
aspires to higher things and a female trailer trash GI, who tell
their stories in relation to the war atrocities in Abu Ghraib prison
and the photographic forgeries in the British tabloids.
Hwyl
John and MyAnna Buring excel in the two roles and the tension is
tangible in the audience as director Michael Longhurst extracts
the last ounce from cast and script.
This
performance is a credit to the entire company, and I would recommend
this is a must for your afternoon Fringe viewing.
