Carmen Angel
Carmen Angel is a compelling play, blending powerful acting, music and sound effects. It is a dark tale set mainly in small town Canada. Joe, a police photographer, is tormented in his dreams by childhood memories, particularly of his friendship with Carmen whom he met as a nine year old and she was a 10 year old "blond Venus". On her 11th birthday she is brutally murdered and Joe's despair is overwhelming.
Chris Craddock triumphantly performs solo, producing the whole cast of characters including Joe, Carmen and Joe's aunt Lou with whom Joe is staying due to family circumstances. The play has complex twists and turns building to a shocking climax. The drama is heightened by the brilliant timing between action, sound, music and lighting.
Carmen Angel is an intricate and highly dramatic theatrical production.
