The Best is Yet to be
Written and performed by Ben Igoe, this play and performance fail to impress. The premise is intriguing, the so called 'colourful caretaker' taking over from the lecturer, but the attempt at wit is trite and obvious.
The play moves predictably through Scottish history - Wallace, Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots etc. Factually accurate, but the delivery is faltering and lacking a sense of timing in the dramatic scenes. This is a production to avoid.
