Productions have already got one Fringe First under their blt this
year with the Peter Morris play Guardians, and in this their
'other' production, award winning writer - director Ben Woolf
premieres this piece.
Set
against a back ground of immigration issues a variety of
characters are introduced and developed, Yuri, a doctor from
abroad, his 'friend' Patrick and partner Alison, Roger, her
father, Nick and his skin head thugs not to mention the ducks.
All
characters are played by the four strong cast of Hywel John, Gary
Shelford, Alex Waldmann and Mr Woolf himself, but it is not as
straightforward as one actor one role, no, they interchange
frequently, and each is equally adept at whatever role they are
currently playing.
This
play is well acted, interestingly written and directed, although I
at times was a little confused as who was being who, but one
cannot argue with the professionalism of the production.
