Pip Utton - Adolf
Depending on your view on life Adolf Hitler can be seen as a charismatic leader who despite his birth outside the Fatherland the nation compelled it to rise up and follow him unquestioningly!
Or a manipulative, racist who vocally mesmerised the masses into war, destruction and genocide.
Actor writer Pip Utton has taken some of Hitler’s words from 'Mein Kampf', 'Table Talk' and searched through numerous writings about his life and times. If Hitler was half as charismatic as Pip I can almost see how easily it would have been just to follow.
Not leaving it there yet dropping the Hitler disguise Pip goes on to discuss today’s world atmosphere almost as a postscript. The frightening thing is that he went on to show just how easily it could be for the right revolutionary from any nation to take over where he left off.
I never thought I'd think a show about Adolph Hitler could be fascinating, entertaining and frightening.
