It is not
the first time that I have felt in the dark while watching a Fringe
theatre piece. But never like this one.
Ushered
into the intimate attic space at the Pleasance the only set being a bed
with two bodies under the bedclothes,
The
house lights go down and we are ready to go. Noises and action begin on
stage as this short piece written by Ben Schriffer start.
We
hear the story from Tom, James Rose and his companion Daisy, played by
Marina Niel, during their lovemaking and post coital conversation. Or do
we?
Is
it a dream? A Nightmare? Or is it for real?
There
certainly is history between the two protagonists, and tragedy is revealed
during these conversations .
It
is never this reviewers policy to reveal too much of the plot and
certainly none of the devices that are used so I think I’ll pause this
review here.
Certainly
a very different production, one that certainly has it’s merit., so if
you fancy a different piece of afternoon theatre why not give it a try?
