Bruce
Morrison was born in Kenya of
Scottish stock, educated in Edinburgh and after university went on to
The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
He started his theatrical career with the Regent's Park
Shakespeare Company and has returned full circle by celebrating the
400th anniversary of the death of the Bard with his show
"Shakespeare's Passions".
Traveling
through all the plays sonnets and letters taking passion as a theme we
are guided through a myriad of ages, emotions obsessions and passions.
From such a variety of characters from all ages, sexes, human and
ethereal showing the joy and pains of life from the pen of probably the
best known author / playwright in the world.
Bruce
is a delight to behold and his use of some simple props enhance the
performance, if such embellishments were strictly necessary. This is both
a visual and audible pleasure ,his voice has a pleasant and varied range.
To
get the full benefit of the show some knowledge of the source material
is advisable but definitely not a necessity.
