This
interesting piece written by John Burrows is given an airing by
Wonderland Theatre at Fringe 2006
The
five actors, Maragaret-Ann Bain, Marie Blount, Joanna Doyle, Sarah
Armstrong and Avril Poole primarily play five pregnant women living in
the area of a proposed nuclear dump.
Their
pregnancy support group decide to form a protest group in an
effort to change the location. They also have to address other issues,
relationship problems, medical reluctance to home births and court
cases, and all these smaller roles are undertaken by the five expectant
mothers too.
So
do they triumph over establishment? To find out I suggest you go and
find out for yourselves.
