 Most
hip-hop, street modern dance shows can get a little boring, one set of
street moves after another.
'Into
the Hoods' takes this to another level adding a fairly well known story
and mixing it up a little. We move to babes in the wood instead of the
baker and his wife. The
Woods are a tower block owned by the landlord type wicked witch other
characters are also updated and projected images and voices.
This
talented exuberant cast just move and groove all over the stage and if
all the houses are like the one I was part of they could only be lifted
to higher levels.
How
they maintain the energy levels after several hours of street
advertising is amazing. For a high-energy lively show this is ideal.
