Not
that I am usually in to films but I did watch 'Kill Bill 2' with a
friend and admit to laughing from start to finish at the improbable
fight scenes. The star killed hundreds of people with only a splatter of
blood on her nose. When I
saw 'Chanbara' advertised as the people behind the fight scenes I was
hooked.
The
deep resonant drumming, fight scenes, movement pieces all very exciting.
The skill involved in each excerpt is phenomenal and the thought
that one false move or stumble could cause a nasty accident.
For
once I sat right at the back to be able to take in the whole scene, even
then there were times when there were so much going on I just couldn’t
see everything. I was
also delighted with the little snippets of comedy inserted from time to time.
