Based on Hans Christen Anderson’s children’s story ‘The Ugly Duckling’ “Honk!” is being performed by Pendulum Productions at Musical Theatre @ George Square until the 31^st August.  Although I have seen other versions of Honk this is one of the most spectacular yet. Utilising a projected backdrop, which changes with the scenes, we almost seem to get another dimension. Particularly in the Goose flying section.

The costumes are both clever and spectacular. Direction and choreography snappy and distinct. The cast are all superbly talented with not one even slightly weak. Sadly I did not get a programme therefore I could not give anyone a name check even if I wanted to.

All in all this brilliant production deserves to have audiences of all ages flocking through the doors. Swan on down and chick it out before all the tickets are gobbled up or fly out of the box office.
