Christmas With The Rat Pack

Alhambra Theatre Dunfermline Thursday 17th December 2009
In preparation for the festive season the Alhambra Theatre presented ‘Christmas with The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas’.  When the curtains swept back and we were faced with a sumptuous set, beautifully lit stairs and band members behind star spangled sections, the visual splendour hit us as the superb music was about to. The blend of Rat Pack classic numbers, including, ‘That’s Amore’, ‘My Way’, ‘That’s Life’, ‘Sway’ and Mr Bojangles’. Seasonal classics from ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’, Winter Wonderland’, ‘White Christmas’, ‘Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let it Snow’, ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Silent Night’. One of the great scenes was the twelve days of Christmas using Carols instead of gifts.
On this particular evening Stephen Rashbrook was Frank Sinatra, Liam O’Brien as Dean Martin and Matthew Henry as Sammy Davis JR. Superbly supported by the three burning sexual sirens that were the Burelli Sisters, Robyn Currelli as Martha Burelli, Rachael Parrott as Helvetia Burelli and Nikki Stokes as Connee Burelli, the blonde, brunette and redhead, whose fabulous singing and sensuous dancing complement the three stars whilst flirting with and teasing them.
The Rat Pack Big Band under Musical Director Dominic Barlow are, Scott Povey, Matt Hope, Steve Blyth, Frank White, Dale Gibson, Kevin Ferris, Dave Ford, Andy Watson, Keith Hutton, Jeremy Ashby and Dave Bryant. The superb musicianship of this show makes it a night to remember and the Alhambra audience really loved and enjoyed this Vegas experience brought to us by The Flying Music Company Ltd.
