I’m often getting asked why I keep going back
to the same show time after time?
Well, apart from the facts that the performer
and the title of the show are the same, you do occasionally get some of
the same material, otherwise as the audiences change with every
performance, no comedian knows just exactly what he will find and almost
anything goes.
Craig Hill is an expert at ferreting out
the comedy gems in the house. Having seen ‘Craig Hill 40 Love’
during the Fringe I was looking forward to seeing the original set, as
he got a
little distracted. Needless to say Craig got some absolutely fabulous
finds in Kirkcaldy, so much so I would say the basics of his set
evaporated into the heavenly ether. Craig’s quick-witted repartee had
us rolling in the aisles and even if you found yourself the butt of the
joke. The thing is Craig is so clever and fast thinking that within
seconds he finds the hilarious side of even the most obscure
circumstances.
It is not often you see an actual adoption
live, yet from Craig’s meeting of Nan from Renfrew to the end of the
show where he had suddenly got a new granny. Craig’s 'gran', Nan, was out
celebrating her 72nd birthday having a whale of a time
sitting in the middle of the front row. Even Nan’s son in law Ian got
in on the act joining Craig on stage.
