In
a secluded retreat for people with various hues of redness to their hair
we meet eight different ladies bearing 8 very different tones of ginger.
The
opening song tells us all about the different names for redheads some
pleasant some downright disgusting. We are also given the names of celebrities
who are ginger.
Some
of the songs are very entertaining but the links are flimsy to non existent.
The characters also vary from dowdy and bland to edgy and over the top. I
felt I was receiving mixed messages throughout although generally it is a
very clever idea with some gems.
The
cast Daisy Ausden, Natalie Billington, Natalie Burton, Thea Cantelli, Lucy
Moores, Skye Stoppani, Lucy Telleck and Chloe Uppington together wrote and
perform the show. Whilst Thea Cantelli also produces. There are certainly
some very catchy and clever numbers but for me there was just some little
spark missing.
