If
you are like me and of a certain age, then the name Chris Difford
is synonymous with that of Glen Tillbrook, as the main creative
force behind the band Squeeze.
Messrs
Difford and Tillbrook are currently touring separately, and
coincidently both in Edinburgh during the Fringe, and currently
the talk of a possible revival is just that.
Chris
Difford is joined on stage by Dorie Jackson, vocals and Matt Deyton
on guitar and vocals and the hour just evaporates as the threesome
treat us to an acoustic set of what could be described as
Squeezes’ Greatest hits, plus a song or two from his solo album.
All
the classics are there, Slap and Tickle, Take me, I’m yours, Labeled
with Love are just a selection and the show finally winds up with
Cool for Cats.
He
is only playing for a week, so hurry and
get your ticket before you are left Up the Junction.
