I must admit I hadn’t expected too much
prior to visiting this show, Northern Youth Theatre appearing to
cash in on taking the mickey out of Cambridge Footlights at best
I’d expected.
I was wrong, quite wrong. What was served
up was some of the funniest material I have seen in a review show
for ages, ably presented by four young actors namely, Natalie
Gascoyne, Steve Lomon, Caroline Major and Tom Rawlins.
The writer / director Richard Kelly has
obviously drilled his troupes so that the most is extracted from
the 15 genuinely funny pieces that make up the show.
Any faults, perhaps just one, it wasn’t
long enough!! I could have handled at least another hour!!
