Susan Harrison’s character sketch show is impeccably performed and reveals her rich talent as a comedy actress. The characters are completely different and include a glamorous teenager who is desperate for fame, a curious old lady who happens to be a mermaid and an embittered theatre critic. Each character has a dark side.

The quality of the writing brings the characters to life. This is enhanced by the air of confidence as she nails the punch lines. Between each character sketch there is a tape voice over. This gives her the time to change costume and to make an entrance as if the character has wandered in by chance.

There is about Susan Harrison an intensity and strength as she meets the physical demands of each role. Her name is one to look out for.
