Stewart
Lee may have come 41'st in a pole of the top 100 comedians
personally I think he was robbed. I love Stewart’s comedy despite
not getting to see him as much as I would like. I am also a great
fan of his written work especially his plays and am looking forward
to seeing 'Elizabeth and Raleigh: Late But Live' this fringe.
Despite
rushing in at the last moment in to a packed Stand One and having to
stand well back towards the loos, after the hour I just couldn’t
believe it was over. I was laughing so much I was almost glad I was
standing so I could jump about laughing.
Stewart
now sees himself, as middle aged with a wife and family, things that
used to make him laugh enough to include in his set no longer appeal
so much, but his inspiration is arising from different situations.
Development
and change in comedic superstars may be a commendation but don’t
change too much as we love you as you are.
