Rosie Wilby‘s show is educomedy. She is
dressed in a lab coat with a bikini underneath. Tantalisingly, the
lab coat is never removed. Using a range of visual aids, drawings,
photographs and a tiny child’s toy model of the human brain, she
gives a very accurate presentation of the brain’s memory function.
She plays with technical terms like ‘episodic memory’.
It sounds like a school science lesson but
a funny one with lots of throwaway one liners and references to
memories of sexual partners, mainly female. Her manner is jolly and
irrepressible. Her patter is delivered in a clear, rather upper
class accent. All this contrasts with her randy persona – a blend
that works wonderfully well.
Her performance is enjoyable if somewhat
short.
