The Oxford Revue: Bonfire of the Ottomans 

I made a decision before this Fringe that University revues and I were done and dusted having suffered at the hands of so many recently.

However, I was cajoled by the company to go and see them because they were really funny and I’d enjoy it. Guaranteed!! So against my better judgement I went. Mistake.

The five guys and one token girl went through their set with in excess of sixteen sketches with barely a laugh from the fairly busy audience.

I was more interested in counting how many people voted with their week and left early, and it was twelve. I would have liked to join them but I felt forced to stick it out and hope it got better. It didn’t.

Avoid.
