Liz Bently-On-Sea 

There are not many acting spaces that I have never been to before but I must confess I have previously never attended a performance in an actually swimming pool.

But then I have previously never seen Liz Bentley before either!!

Ms Bentley is a performance poet, comedian, ukulele player, keyboard player and singer all rolled into one and no mean swimmer both as she told us and demonstrated from time to time while delivering her material.

Liz is an Essex girl who now lives in London and has a fund of stories to relate on a whole cornucopia of subjects for example… nude synchronised swimming in Corfu if you believe that!!! Well maybe you can take the girl out of Essex, but can’t take Essex out of the girl.

There is the slight drawback in the space is that acoustically it is far from perfect but on the plus side, one is encouraged to actually dip ones aching feet into the pool and there are an interesting array of pool toy floating about as well.

So if you fancy something different in a unusual space with a unique artist then this certainly ticks all the boxes so why not check it out.
