Chris Neal's Got a Bun in the Oven

Chris Neill manages to do something in this show that benefits the male population as a whole. He disproves the theory that men can't multi task!! Neill manages to deliver an hours worth of funny comedy yet also literally cooks a dish on stage which is then shared with the audience.
With the plethora of cooking based shows on television in recent years I suppose it’s natural extension would be to do a live show and mix it with stand-up as well.
The comedy topics are all on and around food. Neill waxes lyrical on diets, probiotic yogurt, jam making and dinner parties. He also has a selection of ‘celebrity’ cookbooks which give scope for some reminiscing and humorous observations.
From audience suggestions of unlikely ingredients he challenges a non-cooking Glaswegian to create a romantic meal for this significant other which Chris will cook.
And cook he does, but not the frankly awful menu created but a very tasty concoction which is shared by the audience.
I am not generally a fan of cookery programmes but I found this a very tasty morsel for the late afternoon.
