The
Oxford Imps are stalwarts of the Fringe ,are still on the Impro
route, and are still doing big business.
I
personally feel that impro is a little old hat these days, but when
it is done well it is still worth watching, but it does require to
be done well.
Utilising
a cast of seven actors, a keyboard player and a MC, these performs
use all the devices that are the norm in this genre and audience
suggestions fly thick and fast for the full hour.
The
Imps are able performers, but for me not exceptional, and I'm afraid
my attention wandered at times during the show, bits, however, were
also excellent.
