As
with most venues the Underbelly has been running this Fringe taster
for a few years now and it is of course a chance for acts to
showcase the performances and the general public to have a chance at
previewing some show that they might otherwise have missed.
The
format is similar, an MC to warm up the crowd, in the show I saw was
deaf comedian Steve Day, who certainly did his job with some funny
material.
First
act was Midland comedian Stan Stanley, performing at the Belly
Dancer at 14.20 who was gently funny, an excerpt from those behind
Heroes and Villains at C baraka 15.00, then Luke Toulson, part of
Toulson and Harvey at Underbelly performing and finally politicaly incorrect doctor Adam Kay performing extracts of his show
Amateur Transplant
The
show lineup varies from day to day so it is possible to return often
to get a taste of what's on offer and who knows what gems could be
previewed for you.
