The Receptionists

The Receptionists is described as fast paced but this is an understatement. It is frantic. There is a plot which is essentially silly but reality is not the objective of the comedy. Two receptionists, the capable Tina, played by Katie Lyons, and the dim witted Sally, played by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, have to leave the ground floor to save the company from self destructing.

Their self imposed quest is to track down the security key. Their journey takes them to the upper floors of the building where they meet all kinds of absurd characters in bizarre locations. Rapid costume changes enable the two girls to play all the characters. The wild physical and even dangerous humour continues all the way through to reveal the brains behind the plot.

This is great fun if you are into wacky comedy and it is performed with total commitment.
