There is no question huge hairy Irishman Martin Mor is one of the best comperes around and the 30 years’ experience he has of performing have given him a whole raft of anecdotes to talk about.
Using a combination of these All The Best is an hour of entertainment that would be hard to better in the Fringe this, or for that matter any other, year.
Mor lights up the room with his presence, his wit, his smiling banter, and garners information and harvests belly laughs from everyone, including those he is ‘playing’ with at the time. But it is not only the audience he gags with it is often himself that is the butt of his tales.
The stories he talked about on the night I saw him included camping in Mexico, skydiving in New Zealand, a stag trip to Amsterdam and a comedy gig he did in the Himalayas, but who knows where he will go on another night?
Mor is always great value for money. I am certain he would get great reactions and laughs if he was merely reading from a telephone book. ( Do such things still exist?)
On spotting his reviewer in the crowd Mor said just write down he was as funny as f*ck. He was of course spot on. He was.
